You are randomly walking throughout the city when an odd cat looking creature runs past you. Knowing that the creature is not a real species you go after it. The creature turns around and looks at you. It has red unblinking eyes that pierce into your soul and an unwavering smile. "Hello, my name is, Kyubey." You are surprised to see his mouth not move but are even more surprised to see it was talking to you. "Do you want to make a contract?" Kyubey suddenly asks. "I can grant any wish that you want. whether it is getting a piece of cake or reviving your dead parent, but you will have to pay the price of becoming a Magical Girl and fighting witches."
You think for a second, becoming a Magical Girl would be great, and even getting any wish granted. You nod your head and Kyubey stands up. Reaching out for you and you feel an intense pain as if your soul was getting ripped out. You are now a Magical Girl! Little do you know that your life will change drastically in more ways than one.
What is a Magical Girl? you ask. A Magical Girl is an ordinary girl who receives power from a familiar. In this case, Kyubey. A magical girl can have any weapon. Anything from a gun to a sword or even just a knife. Magical girls have an infinite number of that one weapon as well. They are able to transform at anytime. Not only do they gain a weapon when they transform but there whole outfit changes as well. When you first turn into a Magical Girl, you gain a Soul Gem. YOURE CHARACTER DOES NOT KNOW that there soul has been put into this gem. If you are a far away distance from your gem, you could possibly die. The Soul Gem is also a example of your magic. If you use to much of it at one time, it can get tainted and you will eventually turn into a Witch. But is their a way to avoid becoming a Witch yourself? Of course!
What is a witch? Witches are evil beings which provide the opposition to Magical Girls. When you make a contract, you practically promise to kill these things for the rest of your life. Luckily, when you kill a witch, they drop Grief Seeds. When your Soul Gem gets tainted, you use the Grief Seed on it and it will cleanse it. As said above, Witches come from Magical Girls who's Soul Gem is completely tainted. Another thing, Witches harm the people of the city.

When it comes to Soul Gems, they dont last forever and you will eventually have to kill a witch to cleanse it
Once you become a witch your character becomes an NPC and you are free to create another one
